RestoreHER has initiated a pilot COVID-19 LeadHERship program for and by directly impacted women who are navigating through these unprecedented times. An important goal of this program is to educate and train directly impacted women to mobilize and access resources to support other directly impacted women and their families.
RestoreHER is being flooded by requests for newly released women who are directly impacted women who have little to no access to community resources. RestoreHER has been providing masks for healthcare workers in correctional facilities, incarcerated people including those being released, directly impacted people in the community, as well as providing gift cards and direct service referrals.
We are creating a COVID-19 Resource Database, resource app and website, so that soon to be released and recently released directly impacted women can readily find the information and resources they need to make this important transition in their lives. The survey, resources app and website will be available in English and Spanish.
