Domus Eius (HERhouse) is RestoreHER’s emergency and temporary supportive housing initiative for homeless, justice-impacted women. Residents access trauma-informed care, health and wellness, education, family unification, and a pathway to HERhome. Grounded in dignity, safety, and healing, Domus Eius creates a safe, affirming environment that restores autonomy and hope while addressing the structural barriers that drive homelessness and recidivism.
Through individualized case management and community partnerships, HERhouse helps women transition from crisis to stability. By centering lived experience and cultural responsiveness, Domus Eius affirms each resident’s humanity while nurturing resilience, leadership, and self-determination to ensure women are not merely housed temporarily, but empowered to rebuild their lives with support and a foundation for long-term independence.

HERhome provides rental living space of single family dwellings for justice-involved women who are returning to the community that face rental housing discrimination due to their criminal record, making them unable to pass a background check. In addition, women will be able to utilize the educational program offered through RENEW REBUILD RESTORE U, that focuses on health & wellness, financial literacy, rehabilitation and homeownership.
RestoreHER is initiating affordable shipping-living housing for homeownership. To lay the groundwork for this visionary project, RestoreHER has made significant strides by purchasing a plot of land containing two pilot shipping living homes that will demonstrate the project's potential for affordable living solutions. HERcommunity will consist of an innovative development of shipping living homes to offer homeownership opportunities for individuals impacted by the legal system, veterans, and those earning an annual income of $30K or more. RestoreHER currently has obtained in-kind donations of containers from Mobile Mini, funding from Canary Impact Fund, and Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium.
